GRID
GRID is an interactive Multi-touch sound visualization created for the band Mathon and the ZKM AppArtAward 2011. A desktop application built with Processing transforms music into real-time graphics, while an iOS remote created with openFrameworks allows the audience to interact with the visualization directly through Multi-Touch.
At its center is a continuously deforming audio-reactive shape that produces a journey through portal-like visuals, organic structures and technical scenes. Using an iPhone or iPad, viewers can manipulate the virtual camera and move between scenes, with OSC connecting the mobile remote and desktop visualization across the local network.
