Levitate
Levitate is a series of machine-drawn generative artworks based on observations of nature itself. Originally created for the 1st Antarctic Biennale, the project visualizes and interprets natural phenomena and systems, using visual data captured around the globe as inspiration and foundation for each unique artwork.
The work is conceived as a symbiosis between computer and human, outsourcing the craft of drawing to dedicated human-made tools in software and hardware while keeping aesthetic judgment with the artist. The AMBER edition, released as a 04:45min loop on FRAMED*, captures one fragment of this ongoing process and the search for beauty between time and space, science and nature.
